Ours looks like a Mayo Minol, but Minnesota Midget size – so we call it Melon, MMMM!
Native Seeds Search says a similar crop is Dry Farmed in Sonora, Mexico. Flooding upon occasion as developing, but less water overall may increase flavor by not diluting it.
4-5″ Round Melon turns from Green with Ivory Cantaloupe Stripes to Strongly-Orange-Blushed in the 2-3 days before ripening. Good Short Season Variety that, like other Muskmelons, falls off the vine when ripe – nice to not have to guess!
